About me
My journey as a body therapist did not follow a straightforward path. I initially studied art history and French litterature in Strasbourg, Leipzig, Paris and Berlin, and spent many years working in Berlin’s art and cultural scene. From the outside, everything seemed to fit together perfectly, but deep down I often felt like I was conforming, restricted and far removed from who I am.
Discovering body therapy changed everything for me. It helped me reconnect with what matters to me, see my body as a resource, and show myself as I truly am – with my clients, in relationships, and in workshops and courses. Step by step, I have learnt to trust my own path.
Today, I firmly believe that healing does not mean becoming someone new, but rather bringing more of oneself back into life. When we sense what truly moves us, a sense of vitality emerges. Then we can feel, act and shape our lives with greater clarity – and it is precisely this that changes not only ourselves, but also the world around us.
I have been supporting people in my practice with this approach for over 15 years. My approach is body-oriented, emotion-focused and attachment-based – and always underpinned by genuine connection.
Outside of work, I live in Berlin-Kreuzberg with a queer, multicultural family and two children. Caring for our elderly mother is also part of my life – so I know what it feels like to juggle many different roles and responsibilities. My life is colourful, demanding and vibrant – and all of that feeds into my work.
How I Understand My Role
I believe that safety, dignity, and trust grow where power is exercised transparently and responsibly. I do not regard any of the methods, theories, or interpretations I work with as absolute truth. My understanding and knowledge may be incomplete, my observations may turn out to be inaccurate, and every approach has its limitations. You can trust that I will be open about my thoughts and reflections, and that I genuinely welcome your feedback, questions, and disagreement. It is important to me to respect your knowledge of your own life and experiences. If something I say or offer does not feel right to you, I want to know. Your perspective takes precedence over my assumptions. My role is not to tell you who you “really” are, but to create a space where your experiences, your self-knowledge, your dignity, and your capacity to act are taken seriously and strengthened.
